Buddhist Retreatcenter at the countryside
The retreat center is located in the small village of Kossin with 30 inhabitants, in Lower Flaming. It is one of the most sparsely populated regions in Europe. Surrounded by forests , meadows and fields, it offers ideal opportunities for longer and shorter retreats .
Located halfway between the cities of Leipzig , Dresden and Berlin Kossin has become the meeting point of the Eastern region. The centres in the region jointly cooperate in the organization of courses, programs and the operation of retreat centre .
Two plots are now owned by the Foundation. In 2011, a former four-sided farm yard typical of the region was successful bought . The house is currently being renovated with financial support and construction help from all over Germany. The adjoining stable buildings are being gradually converted into living spaces. In 2012, The former village inn, stables and 3.5 acres of was also acquired and future plans include the creation of a large meditation hall to cater for larger courses.
